The Phillips light has only been out a year and a half so how do they do 3 years worth of testing to get that number?...
this is not true, there is a difference between the launch in the US and being around.

The Gen 2 has not been around for 3 years. The original yes, but not the Gen 2 which would need to be tested and proven on its own. It doesn't matter though... the original point was to take any life rating numbers that ANY manufacturer gives with a grain of salt because as Phillips states on their website that the number of years it should last is a prediction based on their analysis and testing, but not real world or real time tested.this is not true, there is a difference between the launch in the US and being around.
Yes its rated for 30+ by 30+ each, but 3 would be perfect and create better transition zones. 2 will get you by fine though.Do you think two Sky lights would give enough coverage for a 120g six foot tank?
If you keep all coral focused in the middle 30inches then yes. It dose 30"x30". Would highly suggest the a500x tuna blue from Kessil. Its rated for 36"x36" and up to 4' deep, 2 ' on the normal lense. Plus its cheaper.Would 1 Sky be enough over a 120 (48x24x24) mixed reef or would 2 be needed?
