Thoughts on rearranging aquascape

I am thinking about rearranging my aquascape. They are just rocks piled on top of each other, which I will probably keep this way. I am thinking about this just to create better flow through the tank. I am not creative or artisitc and realize that the chances of it actually looking better are slim to nil. So again, just going to be more practical and maximize flow.

I plan on using the same rocks, maybe move some to the sump. Is there any downsides to think about or things to be cautions about?

10 months old, you can pretty much move them at will with no ill effects as long as you don't eliminate them altogether.

Maybe consider using some E-Marco mortar to do a new scape. You could drain the water down some or even pull the rocks out to do some of the work outside the tank. As long as there are no corals on the rock, you can have them out of the water for a good while before anything bad happens. that stuff hardens pretty good within a short time and I believe, even under water (although I didn't test that)

I actually did this recently and I used most of the same rocks and I have a new found love for my tank. Just be cautious about stirring up the sand bed and working around the fish. I also used a 5gal bucket of tank water with a heater and airstone to store some tank rocks when I ran out of sump room. I had the same exact mindset thinking I wouldn't be able to make it any better but I absolutely shocked myself. I say absolutely go for it dude just be mindful when your doing it.

Yeah, you are perfectly ok with rearranging your aquascape. Just be mindful of all the corals and livestock you have in there!

LOL It has not gone yet. Life got in the way. Now my tank is covered in some very pervasive Zoas. I have sold off a couple rocks and now need some coral cutters to get the last few patches off of the rocks. Then it will be time. however, the weekends lately have been spent painting rooms. So it has changed but not in a set way yet.
