I posted a WTB a par meter. They reached out with a great price. And I saw they had joined the forums about 2 weeks prior but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Plus I only send goods and services for my protection. Anyway, just be careful with this person. I have added the PM thread. You can make your own judgement, but I have already requested a refund and filed a complaint with PayPal.

If you post a WTB the odds are 100% that you will be contacted by at least one scammer.

Sounds like you were scammed. The fact that they keep referring to you as "friend" is always a flag to be warry about.

I also thought that you had to be a member for so long and had enough posts before you could engage with the buy, sell, trade forums? Tidetrail has 7 posts and has only been a member for less than 2 weeks?

You got scammed. Happens a lot here via the WTB threads.

Yup. I figured. I’m covered with PayPal protection so I’m not worried about it. But just wanted to post so everyone else was aware. Cause someone might fall for the sending me Venmo.

I just realized I got scammed by same guy. Sent via Venmo so likely screwed.
