My large and apparently voracious tiger cowrie was caught in the act of munching on some zoanthids. He has been banished to the sump until I decide what to do with him.

‘Main reason I am posting this is for future reefers wondering if a tiger cowrie is reef safe. The answer is no.

A lot of people mix the species of cowries up. The only true reef safe one is the money cowrie. I’ve personally had luck with chestnut cowries too :)
How big is your guy?

He is about the size of a golf ball. Seems to like sump life so far. Lots of macro, no zoas!
