I have a pistol shrimp that I recently bought so meep could have a friend. my question is.....is it normal for tiger pistols to munch on bryopsis algae? I mean, he’s doin me a favor. He’s mowed down a lil patch I had on my rock. If it’s ok for him to munch it then cool! If not. He’s eaten a ton. 7909ACC8-D929-4F30-9F73-1140F5160CE7.jpeg

They do scavenge and clean their area. Are you sure it’s bryopsis? Generally nothing touches bryopsis

I’m pretty sure it is. And that’s exactly why I’m boggled, I’ve read just about everywhere’s that nothing eats it so I just manually remove when it starts to get outta hand. But the tiger steadily going at it. Kinda looks like he combination snips and chomps it away at it, kinda looks like a cow grazing.
