A very well thought out system, congrats on the new tank! :) They are so easy to clean because you can almost reach everywhere in the tank for cleaning. Make me miss mine!

Nice tank Tightt. Did you sell your Elos mini or still have it?

Sold the mini and bought a system 70.

Sold the system 70 and bought the 120XL.

Hows your system doing? Still churning out sick zoos?? :clap2:

Quick update:

I had a few corals that were looking pretty sad and I could not figure out why...all parameters were spot on. After looking through my mezoscope, I could see the small tell-tale bite marks of AEFW's!! =(

I am vigilant about dipping everything that enters my system but apparently there must have been some eggs on a colony I got from an unnamed LFS. So I went into panic mode...then calmed down and came up with a course of action. I decided to buy a Deep Blue 30 gal frag tank, take all SPS out of my 120XL, transfer to frag and, and dip every 4 days or so. So I ordered the Deep blue 24x24 frag tank and stand. I knew I would keep this tank for a while.....to be used as a frag/quarantine tank, so I wanted to make it TighTT approved..I knew I'd have to order a custom...all-in-one sump. I want room for a skimmer, plenty of baffles to keep bubbles at a minimum, a fuge, Probe holders, and a top-off reservoir. Tall order. Thanks to CustomKing.....here it is:

I ordered some light arms to hang my light. For lighting, I chose an ATI power module 8 bulb T5 system. Topoff is kept up by a Tunze Osmolator and the tank as a whole is controlled by a ReefKeeper Elite V2. For sufficient flow, a Vortech MP10 was installed.

Well, after about 1.5 months of dipping and checking, all corals were clean. I took out all my rockwork in the 120XL, just to be safe, and am in the process of cooking it. I replaced it with Real-Reef rock...we'll see how I like it. All coral is now back in the 120XL (except for a few colonies that could not handle the dipping regiment) and, quite frankly, they look pretty sad. I plan to bring everything back to tip-top health.
