Time to buy alk doser?

I have an established 20g mixed reef with six frags of birdsnest and large euphyllia colonies. I have recently started dosing 2tablespoons of kalk in my two gallons of top off. I live in the desert and my top off water lasts 4-5 days. I cant get alk get over 6.5ppm. I use coral pro salt

Do i need to start dosing an alk supplement? If so which variety?

Two table spoons of kalk is an extremely low dose.

IMO , mix the kalk separately to saturation (on the instructions ) and use the liquid. You can slowly increase dose that way.

What is the daily or weekly alk usage you have now?

I thought the saturation point was limited to two tablespoons per gallon? Is that wrong? Im waiting to tomorrow to determine daily usage

Yea it’s confusing.

Two table spoons per gal here.

If that’s not keeping up with usage then two part is going to be the way to go.

Myself , I ran tanks yes with sps with no dosing or kalk and NSW (6,5-7.5 alk) with no issue.

I found hat ESV was was the easy no brainer no mixing and very little (to none) math way to go.
