The Timor will be established first. Is the fire shrimp likely to become dinner?

How big is the timorensis? Smaller individuals will be safer with the shrimp. In most cases they will be fine.

Always a chance with Halichoeres wrasses but I've never had any issues with them eating a shrimp. I've not kept H. timorensis but claudia, chrysotaenia, melasmapomas, iridis, biocellatus and chrysus have never caused a problem for me. My current Ear Muff is pushing 6" and never has bothered any invert.

female, maybe 2.5". I had her in QT with some Trochus snails, she pecked at their shells a few times the first day or two but left them alone after that

Should be fine then.

I have a trio of Timor wrasse, the male is 6"+ they lived happily with cleaner shrimps for 6 months or so. Then, I think, one of the cleaners changed it's shell. The wrasse detected it (chemical signals?), hunted it down and while the shrimps shell was soft, ate it. The other shrimps change their shells with no issues and I haven't had any others predated- yet...…..
