Good bad?
You should probably have already learned about copepods, since you already have water in your tank. A friendly word of advice, don't add any fish or corals till you have learned some basics about the nitrogen cycle, cleanup crew, hitchhikers, sickness.
In short, pods are good. They are part of your cleanup crew and snacks for your fish. I am assuming since you didn't know what they are the hitchhikers on some live rock you got from your LFS. This is good, but be aware not all hitchhikers are good. I've only been in the salty side of the hobby for less than a year, but I learn more all the time. Read read read! There is an endless wealth of knowledge at your fingertips in these forums and online elsewhere.
