Tips for chalice

Hey everyone I recently became obsessed with jellybean chalices and decided I’ll probably get a cheaper one and then get a jellybean if it does ok. I already have a bunch of LPS doing well and growing new heads (Duncan, blasto, micromussa, acans, candy cane, hammer, torch). I have a few sps but they definitely are not thriving like the LPs, but they’re doing ok. Is chalice care similar to micromussa? I’ve heard they prefer a bit more light and flow. Just looking for some tips! Thanks in advance.

Following along. I've had my jelly bean chalice for about 3 years and it hasn't grown off the frag plug I don't know what I'm doing wrong

My observation with chalice corals are that some grow like weeds others really slow. From my experience they all take lot of time to settle in before they grow.

Some easy to grow ones are Hollywood stunner and Space invader:

The mommy eye chalices for me grow slower:

Also the mommy eyes are finicky corals and can RTN when things are off… I would say the difficulty can be equal to some across…

Thanks for the advice everyone! Decided to get a mummy eye frag from a friend and if that goes well will splurge on the jelly bean!

Make sure to find a good ledge with good light and flow, and GLUE it down! Once they get used to a spot, they grow slow at first and then boom you will be selling frags. GL
