Just today I noticed the tips of my birdnest coral turning brown. I’ve had it for a few months now with no issues. Any idea what could be causing this?
My parameters are
Nitrate: 5-10 ppm
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Alk: 10
Calcium: 420
Phosphate: .03
Salinity: 1.024

Most likely the tips are dying and algae is on them now…could be too much light, alk swings or even phosphates swings…
your alk is high for low nutrients

my flow and light are quite strong. Would you recommend I move it somewhere with less light? I can also try lowering alk but I haven’t had much swings with it
