The reactor is designed to stir and mix the kalk at full saturation. It's to easy mixing so its almost a set and forget till it gets used up.

So how much kalk do i put in it as the minimum amount to start with?

It doesn't really matter since as stated it mixes at full saturation regardless. However, I wouldn't do more than 1/2 cup at a time. If you add more than that I've found that the stirrer gets stuck and doesn't agitate the kalk.

I'm setting mine up atm also. Should I put vinegar in the ro reserve water? I'm using a 20g reserve tank for this and read that without vinegar it can turn to ca carbonate.

I am interested in buying this reactor. What pumps are you using for those that are dosing through ATO?

I'm also interested in running this reactor through the Avast ato diaphragm pump. This pump is like the aqua-lifter pump but is very high end. I don't know if it pumps fast enough. Thoughts?

For this reactor you need a pump that is at least 300 gph.
