toadstool lighting requirements

im getting a few different answers when l Google this, but, what light levels to toadstools do well with?
have recently moved my toady to a different part of the tank hoping to solve "whatever his issue is". I'm leaning towards flow, but where he is now, the light levels are between 160-180. Hard to get an accurate reading due to the water surface moving around. 160-180 too much? he's definitely in a lower flow portion of the tank now. full day of lighting and he still hasn't opened up. so i'll continue to monitor him.

They are pretty forgiving no matter the intensity. I would say that good flow is more important to them than lighting, they like good random flow patterns.

I definitely have that with my gyre. I've posted threads on "what happened to him", but its a crap shoot right now. I cant figure out what's going on with him. had him for 7 months, no issues.

i'll monitor and see how it goes.

Toadstools can be moody, mine will look off for a couple of days every now and then. I have it about 4 inches from the water surface so lots of light and decent enough indirect flow and he's very happy. They can adjust to various light.

my toadstools are at all different levels in the tank. They can handle very strong light or be fine down at the bottom.
