Toadstool Shedding?

Hey my large toadstool started shedding and has slumped over. When I try to aim more flow at it, it shrivels up and all of the polyps retract. Anyone else have this problem?

They look sad during shedding, and usually get through it on their own without any extra help - pointing a wavemaker at it wont really help and just tick it off if anything in my experience
