Ok, so I am aware that the general rule for Tangs is 100 Gallons or more, but Liveaquaria lists the Tomini Tang as suitable for 70 Gallons plus.

Does anyone have this fish in a 70 Gallon? Or can you suggest a fish that might do the same job, i.e. cruising the tank looking for and munching algae?

Cheers in advance,

Matt.

I had one in my 75 gal, lived for a couple of years until he developed some sort of abdominal thing and died. I don't believe it was related to tank size.

I agree with above, shouldn't be any issue with keeping a Tomini Tang in a 75 gal tank. I have one and its a beautiful tang that doesn't get that big.

I have one in my 45. Great personality, good at cleaning rock and chasing the algae scrapper. Shame I will have to rehome him next year.
