been a problem for a while D: manual top off sucks on my new tank, and i seem to cant get these two to work
well it turns on for me it just wont top off the water through the pump or whateverI've had nothing but trouble with the hydor top off. Mine usually gets below the fill mark for quite some time without filling. I have to switch it off then back on to get it to work. And here I thought it was just me.

The top off requires a stronger pump than the Tom's.
mine isnt pumping water when it should be, when i plug the aqau lifter in by its self it works but when i plug it into the hydor ATO it doesnt workMine worked pretty well for the better part of a year before I replaced it with a BRS doser. As long as the distance between the pump and reservoir wasn't too far apart.
Apparently, Hydor has a calibration procedure:mine isnt pumping water when it should be, when i plug the aqau lifter in by its self it works but when i plug it into the hydor ATO it doesnt work
its ok, i changed the aqaulifter to a actually return pump and it works fine, old probably i have now is that it will dump too much water in the sump causing the sensor to beep loudly, but now i dialed the return pump down all the way and gonna see if it will over fillApparently, Hydor has a calibration procedure:
1) Turn off the ATO system
2) Set the sensor so that “Max” is at the water
3) Turn on the ATO system
4) Wait 1-1.5min for the ATO to go through the cycle (flashing)
Once the lights stop flashing, are the “Min” and “Max” LEDs on?
If yes, go to step 5
If no, go to step 6
5) Pull the sensor so that the “Min” is above water
After a few seconds the “Min” and “Max” LEDs should be off and the pump should be filling. If the water went to “Alarm” then the pump is a bit too powerful, turning down the pump will fix this issue.
6) Unplug the pump and plug it directly into a wall outlet, does the pump push any water?
If yes, you may need to send it back to us for inspection/replacement
If no, then you have a defective pump.
Good. You can also use one of these:its ok, i changed the aqaulifter to a actually return pump and it works fine, old probably i have now is that it will dump too much water in the sump causing the sensor to beep loudly, but now i dialed the return pump down all the way and gonna see if it will over fill

yes these guys are really small and good i like them i have my ato in a 5 gallon bucket and with a lid, theres a hole in the lid for the tubing to fit in and out and fish through my sump, i have question if you know it, I have a trigger system RUBY20C sump and i was wondering would a vertex omega 150 fit in that?Okay, that's the one I thought it was. I went with the pump I linked because I needed something with a small footprint to fit into my ATO container.
