I currently have a 29 gallon biocube with the mj1200 return pump upgrade. I believe this pump has a gph of 300. I was running a solo hydor koralia nano 565 on the opposite side of the return where the overflows are. I started having some nutrient pocket issues and some poop collection issues. I decided to add another cheap powerhead (sunsun) rated at 500gph. This totals for 1365 gph in my biocube. Is this to much? The sps seems to love it. The torch seems to hate it. Should I take the sun sun out or can i get a controller to alternate and control the powerheads? I currently have all 3 water flows pointed to the surface and front glass as to not beat anything to death. Will everything be ok after acclimation? or is this too much. Just looking for help.

yup
the mj1200 is 295 mph
the 2 nano 565 is what i had in mine and they work ok as long as you have them straight toward the front almost top corners of tank that way it slams the tops and the flow from return should face top center causing multi directional flow cycles with hardly any dead spots.
with that said i dumped all that switched to 2 Tunze nano controllable pumps one on each side any everything is great
here is a pic where 1 is located in between sloted intakes the other on opposite side

Thanks bro Tomorrow I'll readjust like advised. Was recently having problems with water level but I think I got that figured out. Another question I had was how long do you keep your lights on
