Too much flow for Hammer?

IMO It might be just a tad too much. The corals behavior will let you know after it settles in.

Try this. I tried to make it an unlisted YouTube video.

It worked for me that time. I have seen hammer do well in flow much higher and lower than it is in. The coral will tell you want it likes. I say as long as it stays extended and looks happy the flow rate is fine.

Thanks, I’ll keep an eye on it and make sure the tissue isn’t getting blasted off.

Actually looks about perfect to me. They like a gentle breeze
Flow looks perfect to me
Just checked my hammer I guess it looks about the same. I’m just wary of flow on hammers. I killed my first one and I think it was flow that was too high along with low magnesium.

It’s always hard to compare flow just by watching a video lol. I don’t even test magnesium, just do weekly 3-5 gallon water changes with aqua forest salt and assume it stays in line. I do have some hair algae, so maybe my magnesium is a little low…
