dwarfs are too small to eat frozen. i guess you could try and cut up mysis, but its easier to feed live. I sometimes feed frozen brine, but brine isnt too nutritious so i keep a decent colony of copepods in the tank

They eat BBS only, pretty much. They were trying cyclopeeze and the dwarfs were taking it, but they weren't thriving on it and were dying prematurely.
Hatching BBS I know about. I bred regular seahorses for awhile. I used 2L plastic bottles. I used tap water and regular salt... that's right.... nasty tap water and table salt. Every day I would just hatch more. I had several bottles going at any given time and would grow them out some, as the horses got larger.

That must be nice to be able to buy them at work. My dad actually worked at a saltwater fish store when he was in college but back then they could not keep corals.
How long can the shrimp live in the hatchery?
I saw someone who scooped the brine shrimp eggs out of the hatchery because he said that they were a pollutant. Is that true?
I work at a supply store (mostly for dogs and cats) we have a ****** freshwater selection, but we can order nice saltwater fish, inverts, and corals. they take 24-48 hours to hatch and i let them grow a day. not sure how long they would last in the bottle

That sounds like I'm disagreeing with you. I was typing as you were posting. That's a +1. There will be zero copepods in there with them around.

I called the fish store and they said that they were Ready Erectus.
Do they need a 30 gallon or can a pair go in something smaller?
I want to keep them in the smallest tank possible without them being cramped. Once I said that is sounded very sick.

I spelled it wrong.
They were a little smaller then other seahorses that I have seen.
The problem is that I am only 13 so I am trying to go as small as possible so I can convince my parents. My birthday is coming up in April so I have a good amount of time to think about my choices and convince them.
I would also like to maybe try to keep pipefish so I guess that I would have to have a bigger tank to keep those.

Do you go on family vacations? Do you have someone to look after them, if you do? Seahorses can't go very long without food. They are not like a lot of other fish, in that they do not have a true stomach. Other fish are more forgiving when not being fed.

I have a really good friend who wants a fish tank and his parents won't let him get one because they have a beta, Jack Russell, Great Dane, 2cats and a weasel. I think that they might also have a bird or something but they have so many pets I can't keep up with it. He would love to take care of my fish and seashores when I go on vacation for a week or more.

Also, I ready the article and it is great. The one thing that I saw in there is that a tank must be 2 times the hight of the seahorse when it's tail is uncurled and any nano-cube wouldn't be tall enough.
Do you think that I would be better of having a normal tank with a sump?
That is what I have right now and I love my sump. It hides all of my filtration
