I purchased this coral as a "large polyp Australian torch", it is purple with light blue tips. It's strange because instead of the standard branching look, it appears to be one stock which is odd for the size it is. Is there such thing as a "wall torch" like there are wall hammers? Is it going to sting my other torch? Any idea what this could be? Thank you :)

Theres no wall type of torch corals. Sometimes they can grow funky possibly due to flow, lighting? As far as an I.D., vendor name im not sure. It looks like a nice aussie purple green tip torch. It looks great, colorful and healthy.

Aussie highlighter tip

As said above there are no wall torches. Some grow thicker trunks than others. Some will grow into a weird shape but eventually it will form individual heads
