Torch splitting and pooping? BJD?

My torch has been unhappy for the past couple of days and it seems to be splitting, which I'm happy about. Today I got home from work and it had this dark, stringy material coming out. Flesh looks super healthy but the polyps are super retracted. Lights were almost out so that could contribute as well. Is it just pooping and splitting at the same time?

Yes, everything you mention is correct. Mine do the same thing every couple of days or weeks. They look healthy

Absolutely, you can tell it’s healthy by how much of the membrane goes down the stalk.
