Bought a torch at a frag swap a bit over a month ago.
The past few days I've noticed some of the tips are greatly expanding.
Some are becoming bulbous right before the tip, some, like in the picture, at the tip.
Not my first torch (but my first of this type).
Figured I'd ask if this is normal or if I'm alk burning it (recently raised my alk from 6 to 8 (.5 at a time over a week).
Also, my other tanks have torches that are not as long and thin, so if anyone could narrow down what kind I picked up, I'd a appreciate it. I'm unsure which types are which (aussie vs Malaysian, etc).

Zoomed out for ID (with Grumpy the basslet for scale).
Also, you can see some tips now have 2 tips (far left).

Im curious too. Im experiencing the same issues

The alk shouldnt be an issue? Have you changed lighting at all?

At the end of the day i say as long as it's growing and not stressed i wouldnt worry about it. Sometimes animals are just weird... specifically these ones lol
