Found this at the base of my new coral. I'm pretty sure to the left of it is a vermetid snail. I superglued the opening of it so no more webs. Is it a muscle?

I'm thinking I'll leave it for now. Doesn't seem to bother the coral. The coral expands to almost totally cover it. I can always dig it out later.
