My son gifted me with the tank in 2016 & we agreed on the theme. #BioShock ™️ is a video game, FYI for non-gamers. ;)
First picture is from August 2016 & you can spot the Big Daddies & Little sisters fairly easily. 2nd picture August 2019 you have to look a little harder to locate the action figures.

I’ll add all the bits & pieces in my next post. Back to work...

Updating a little live stock today, had to restock some of my snails Astria & a couple of Turbos. Also going to try this little purple beauty to see if my snowflakes will take to it. Either way purple is my favorite color. Also got a Gold headed sleeper goby, he has big fins to fill after I lost my Diamond Watchman a few months ago. Everyone’s acclimating now, so I’ll update the picture tomorrow.
Why did I do this today...cause it’s HumpDay Wednesday, seems like a good enough reason to play in my tank. Don’t you just love these pretty Blue pictures we post ;Cyclops

The nem I bought yesterday is still where I placed it, put it in my rubble box & put it close to where my snowflakes hang out, maybe they’ll take to it. We will see.

Interesting strategy with the rubble box. I've been trying to get my corals to take to some rubble the last few months to no avail...

I originally put that in there for my mushrooms that I pulled off my live rock, hoping they latch onto the rubble so I can share them with others. The little plastic box helps to keep them from blowing in the flow. Thought I’d try it with the Nem. We’ll see. Thanks

Hope that it works well; as I mentioned I personally haven't had luck, but your nem will probably be able to latch on well.

I’m excited that my water changes are going to be sooo much easier from now on.
Past water change equipment:

New water change equipment:

I’ve put a heater & powerhead in the can, with a different attachment on the powerhead, I’ll be able to refill the tank without lifting another water container again‼️ Just roll it into the living room & turn on the power. Whoo hoo‼️
How nerdy does that make me that I’m excited about a new trash can.

That's awesome! I'm hoping to do something similar at some point, but don't have the space to put the can atm. It will indeed make things insanely easier on you.

It’s been a while since I updated my build thread. I guess with a reef tank it’s never really “finished”. I mean sure once you have the tank, stand, lights, filtration and all the other gear we start out with. Then probably upgrade after a year or so, because we’ve learned so much more about the hobby. Added things to make it easier, like an ATO & RODI system, so we don’t have to buy & lug water around every week. ;)
Realized the lights we bought at first weren’t really strong enough for certain corals so we had to upgrade those. Needed to add a reactor for GFO & carbon to keep it all clean & clear. You know what I mean...
So after 3 years and hundreds of dollars in lost life (SPS & LPS):( I’m thinking maybe I’ve finally gotten it dialed in & want to try my hand at something other than softies. So now I’ve got to rid my rocks of the neon green hairy mushrooms that have grown oh so well in my tank. This is something I’ve been doing for several months now. Sharing them with friends & fellow reefers that may want some. I actually have about 20 that I put in my QT yesterday, mainly to get them out of my display. I still have more to remove, but I’m taking my time, after all they are live creatures & I need to let the freshly removed ones heal before I add any more to the smaller tank.
As you can see by the pictures, I’ve still got quite the crop of NGHMs. You can also see that I’ve increased the diversity of my tank by adding other softies, Kenya tree, Xenia, a few leathers, Anthelia & a couple of SPS (fingers crossed for those).
Thanks for reading...

Thanks so much for sharing the update! Things are looking wonderful and definitely loving the diversity of corals you've got going on!
