Hello all. I have been trying to figure out how to transport corals and livestock bought at shows or swaps. I live in Florida and I will be going to Reefapalooza Orlando. I live about 3 hrs away from there. I will be staying at the resort that Saturday night and heading home late sunday afternoon once everything is over. What would be the best way to keep any new corals or fish I purchase healthy?

Cooler maybe was my thought. not sure how to work that though.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Just trying to plan ahead.

Yep, just bring a cooler. See if the vendors will hold your stuff till the last day. Some of them may even ship for you.
When is Reefapalooza? Went last year and brought stuff home, no problems.

Cooler and a ice or heat pack.

Edit: Tape the ice or heat pack to the underside of the coolers lid.

Hi! Im from florida as well, the keys, and i went to last years reefapalooza i had the vendors save what i purchased and picked it up on the last day of the show just before leaving, i did nothing special to transport just put them all in a bag and made sure they wouldn't get hot or too cold and they lasted the 6 hours it took me to get them in my tank... this isn't ideal and i don't recommend it but im just sharing that they can last a while! a cooler would probably work best.
