I don't have a trident just yet, but plan to order one soon. I am getting ready to install my apex on a controller board, but want to make sure I won't have any issues with the location before I install it since I plan to add a trident. Attached is a picture of my basement sump/fish room. I plan to put the controller board on the wall behind the sump (may add a second board in the future next to it), and the trident I'd like to have sit under my stand and sample the water from the sump.

Would I be able to put the trident this far from the apex, or would that cause an issue? The trident would be just a foot away from the sump itself, but the apex would be maybe 8' or so away from the trident.

as long as you have a long enough cord for the trident to plug into an aqua bud port or a 1link port you're good to go.
