Finally did the Trident Maintenance after using the Trident for several years. Following their video, it is a very easy process and I defiantly recommend (rather than sending in your device or setting up a replacement). The kit is MUCH cheaper :) Replaces pretty much everything except the solenoids and boards.

Good to know (I haven't taken mine out of the package yet).
Yeah you shouldn't have any problems....the video makes it ridiculously easy to follow. Even included a filter that attaches to the end of the intake hose in your sump which is nice to have to keep things from clogging your intake line (which has never happened to me but I have a pretty clean sump).

It is a great kit and option. I completed the self service last month I think it was. As you said the video made it easy. I even had it on a laptop off to the side as I was working in case I wanted to do a quick re-check.

Glad it went well.

Was nice to hear about a filter for the intake. I haven't got around to doing this or watching the video yet. But I've had to take mine apart a few times to unclog everything, runing a paper clip through the intake line, running a stripped wire twist tie through the manifold. And cleaning the couvet with vinegar.

Yeah if you have already taken it apart down to the manifold you will have no problems. The manifold isn't replaced but it is totally removed, so that would be a good time to really clean it out.

It’s to each is own. I find it way more comforting to have sent mine in. You get a few more things done such as factory serviced just incase any other issues are noticeable. Plus if anything does go wrong they will stand behind it. And factory calibration which prob won’t matter much but still. Also a 2 months reagents which is worth $45. That means it’s only 40 bucks difference for someone who does it professionally not dyi. Not saying any choice is wrong but I just choose sending mine in.

It is good they gave options for everyone. Not typically done but it works well in this case.
