Trident Reagents

After replacing my tridents reagent my Alkalinity is reading 6 dkh and my Calcium is 325 and Mag. Is 1100 I have checked them with my Salfert test kits and my Alk. is 8.5 Cal. is 420 and Mag. is 1290 I think the reagents are bad or just something wrong with it the batch before this one everything was reading higher than what they were. Anyone else having this problem?

Did you recalibrate your Trident when you replaced the reagents? And yes, had that problem every month until I started calibrating my tank with my testing kits using the water sample from the tank.

So are your saying to use my tank water for calibration instead of the white bottle of reagent they send you with the kit?

If you know the numbers for your tank water, you can just calibrate the trident using tank water with the known numbers.
