We used a slim 4.8g reef can for the trident waste. We are now moving across states and took down all but one tank, which has a few coral and my frogfish. I would like to use the reefcan for RO/DI or saltwater, since the footprint will be greatly appreciated in the new (smaller) space. Normally I wouldn't even risk it, but the can was $75 new.

Has anyone reused waste tubs? Is there a way to make it safe, if it's not already? The tub has been sitting dry for about a month.

After a simple rinse with RODI, it should be fine for reuse. These are made from HDPE.
