Hello all! I purchased a Trident for use on my nano tank but I don't have a sump. How do I install the sample line? Am I at risk for a siphon at all?

What sort of Nano are we talking about? Is it just a glass or acrylic box or is it an AIO (all in one that has a false wall)? It will work but the sample line needs to be in an area without bubbles for best results. Also this goes without saying that you probably don't need the trident with a nano (although you can carry it forward obviously when / if you upgrade). Water changes or something simple like TM AFR will manage element levels.

You could also get a 1/4" piece of acrylic tube, place it in the corner of your Nano, and run the sample line down just enough so that the bottom of the tube is below the acrylic rod. This will prevent it from blowing around depending on the size and flow of the tank.

Pictures would help but it is possible to do so. No back siphon if the Trident is placed a bit higher.

I can attach some pictures. I got the Trident because it was on sale and I know I'll be upgrading eventually so I went ahead and got it. It's a 30 gallon with a canister filter. Not an AIO.
