Has anyone ever had luck with Tropic Marin’s ICP? I sent my samples in two weeks ago and it still says they haven’t received it yet. I’ve thought about just going out and getting ATI ICPs instead.

Have you checked your tracking number to make sure it got to where it needed to go? I used the Fauna Marin ICP last month and was able to track it to the CoralVue hub but then it was another couple days from there to Germany before it actually showed up. Maybe this is similar for you.

Check your USPS tracking number....mine took two weeks just to get to TM California...

Mine was going to some place in Florida. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down or take a photo of the tracking number before I dropped it in the box. I’ll give it another week, at least I know this is normal!

The day after I posted this I got a message they received my water samples and I now have my results!

Same happened to me. Took a couple weeks. I posted about it, then an hour later I got the email it was in process. Mine went to Los Angeles.

Hey everyone. So I got my results back. Has anyone hadTropic Marin provide specific dosing recommendations, like how much of this element or this block element (from Tropic Marin), or do they just say dose this or reduce how much you dose that?

I thought that was the whole purpose of using tropic Marin…. That they would provide their block dosing instructions based on the test results.

Is that not the case?

I just got a list of which elements I needed to dose, not amounts. I am hoping it is just a mistake. I know it isn’t on their PDF report and you have to log in, which I did. I use a lot of Tropic Marin already, they have good products, which is why I wanted to add on their block method and ICP testing.

I sent a message to them asking for clarification and will follow up, but curious if anyone else that used their testing received specific dosing instructions. With the holidays, I likely won’t get a response from them until sometime next week.

Yes, please keep us posted. I just sent off the tropic Marin plus test as I was planning to dose with their “blocks”. But if they don’t provide block dosing instructions based on the results, that would be disappointing.

The block solutions calculator is still under construction for exact amounts.

This seems like it could be a great alternative to people who like moonshiner approach.
That’s frustrating that their calculator is under construction. I would have thought they would have provided the specific amounts with your analysis live the other available ICPs do. Had I known that, I would have gone with ATI or Reef Labs and used the moonshiners calculator. That’s frustrating because as I said, I like their products. And I already bought their block elements for dosing 😕.

Since you have the products, I would determine a dose based off of the Application and Dosage instructions of each product you may need. Figuring out how each individual element covered by the bottle will be affected by that dose. Trying to get close to your target ranges.

Randy Holmes Hi! What are your thoughts on this block element system. Do you agree that the system is a good new approach or are you thinking differently from your own wealth of knowledge. Can we pick your brain on the subject.

They could also send Tropic Marin an email and I'm sure they would get a reply within a couple of days.

I have twice and have not heard back yet.
