I couldnt find much info on the difference between the 2, same levels and has prebiotic bacteria food (idk if that is carbon dosing but probably). Does syn biotic not contain as much carbon dosing as bio actif or are they just the same thing?

this will be used for my tank transfer as tropic marin has switched back to the german factory and has additional bacteria to help with any transfer issues. Afterwards i plan to switch back to fritz or red sea blue bucket (similar levels and i have used both with no issues before)

anyone try the syn biotic before?
I might go with pns pro bio and yellow sno and fritz salt as an alternative but wanted to try out tropic marin now that they got there stuff back in order

I don’t have used the ones you mentiond but i only use Tropic Marin Pro- Reef and i really like it - mixes perfectly and is very very clean :)

i wonder if anyone uses the syn biotic, never seen it mentioned

no one try it?

well, i may be dumb but i ordered a box. Hopefully it will be good for the tank transfer which should be later this week. Afterwards I will see whether to go with tropic marin pro, fritz rpm or red sea blue. Probably gonna be up to prices for that one

Yes I used it for new tank set up, then switched to blue bucket but I also get a bucket of it every once and a while. I just recently got a bucket of the syn biotic and do small water changes with it . It does mix cloudy and a 10% water change will leave your tank cloudy but it goes away the next day, I cant say for what it does I dose n03 po4 anyway, but it does leave the mixing bucket clean as a whistle, unlike blue bucket which is sometimes very dirty. I use blue bucket that is my salt.

I love blue bucket but it has become more expensive where i usually buy it, so i switched to rpm for a bit (very similar parameters to blue bucket. I dose no3 and po4 as well so im not too worried about the tiny bit of carbon dosing it may have. Hopefully it will work well

The op hasn’t been around in a few months, but as a rule, I dont see why one would want to put these things into a salt mix. :)
