Hey, does anyone have any experience with the tropic Marin professional test kit. I have a hodgepodge of tests now, Red Sea mostly. I’m finding it harder to distinguish between the various shades for nitrate, phosphate and alkalinity. The Hanna testers are so expensive. Can folks can share there thoughts and experiences. Thank you. PS: the new Hanna marine master tester worth the $500 investment h

I have problems with colormetric test kits under some kinds of lights that have poor color rendition. You might try looking at the kits under different lights to see if you can find something that lets you see the shades better. But if you have some kind of color blindness Hanna or other digital tester is probably going to be the best option.

When testing SUNLIGHT is your friend.
Try NYOS for alk it reads in shades of yellow, a lot easier than shades of pink.
My Phosphate readings are done with a Milwaukee low range Photometer.
