tropic thunder chalice low light or high

i have the tropic thunder chalice and i have had it for a couple of months it stays a dark red color does it need high light or does it need to be at the bottom of the tank i have de 150 mh they are 14 k phionex.
and does anybody have a pic of the gi joe chalice or maybe its called gi jane chalice
