I noticed this item I believe is an egg sack attached to the bottom of a mound of zoas. It might just be a worm. I am new to this and don't want to try to remove it until I know what it is. Any ideas?

I would unfortunately pull that frag plug anyways and treat those zoas for what appears to be zoa pox.

Definitely a vermetid snail. Crunch it up ASAP. They can become a royal pain.
