Trying to Identify Zoa

A friend gave me this rock with an almost white Zoa after I commented on it in his tank. He did not know what type of Zoa it is. I am trying to identify it and also identify what causes the color to shift from what ithe blue/green/brown to the blue/white beneath it. I am told they are all the same Zoanthid species. Since they are on the same rock, I wouldn't think it is nutrients. They were getting about the same amount of light, so it doesn't make sense to me.

looks like they didn't get light or were touching other corals where they were place before you got them. They might brighten up soon

Palythoa toxica or heliodiscus. The ones to the lower right are Zoanthus cf. vietnamensis.
