Got these 2 nems about a month ago. The one that is outstretched started on the backside of the rock with the other one. It has slowly moved and now stretches out when the lights are on. As they dim he shrinks back like his buddy.

My lfs had them under radions. I have a kessil 160 and 4bulb t5 over him. Is he in need of more light or does he just like it and is fine where he's at? I can't really move him up in the water column without endangering my sps. The other 2 nems I have look great at the same height in tank. Just this guy stretched out.

Weird. Like really weird. Though it looks very healthy. Maybe a weak or a small foot. Like its foot is not fat enough to hold it down. Or it ate a ballon and is gassy..

Looks like by where it has it's foot placed it simply has to stretch past that rock behind it to get full light.

I think the fact it does this w/ lights on only gives your answer, it's reaching for light.

Anything to be concerned about? I could probably rotate the rock but, knowing my nems he will decide to take a walk if I do that

If it's not moving and not losing color, I wouldn't touch anything personally.
