I checked on my office tank today and this appeared out of nowhere - it was not there 2 days ago. It appears to be a worm of some sort that made a tube from sand and has it shrouded in a mucus net. 4 or so tan colored "arms" or appendages of some sort extend and then retract into the tube. Any ideas as to what it is? Should I pull it out? It is a little over an inch long and 1/8" diameter.

Thanks for the quick reply. Don't know where it was hiding. I will yank it and watch for more. Don't want it to irritate the acan next door.
