I have my sensors in my return chamber of my sump, the controller is constantly turning on for 10 seconds or so, every 5 minutes. Sometimes the controller beeps low water. I have cleaned the optical sensor, there are no bubbles, I reduced the size of the magnet holding it to the glass. Is this normal?

No it is not. Might be a defective sensor. You should contact their support about it.
