HI, I need a new replacement controller/sensors for the 5017. It was working great for the last few years since @rvitko repaired it, but the sensor doesn't detect anything. There is no debris around the sensor and I've cleaned it several times. I was looking online to buy a new controller but it's just not available.

Tom,

We have them in stock, part 5017.000. In general though, I would consider repair, it will be much cheaper and unless this unit is more than 10 years old or has water damage, it can likely be repaired for less than $40 including shipping.

Please only send part 5017.000, this greatly reduces the shipping costs, it is the controller and sensors, no magnets, nothing else. Be sure to include your contact and return info in the box.

Is Tunze USA still offering repair service for the 5017? I have a controller that is sending 12v to my volt meter but will not run the pump. If I connect the pump to a 12v power supply it will run. Something seems broken in the 12v output for the 5017.

Yes, but I cannot repair anything made before July 2015 and odds are very high if you have a yellow pump on light and the pump does not run that the pump is bad. The controller has a 1200mA circuit breaker, the power supply does not, so often a pump runs on a battery or power supply and not on the controller, it "works" but is severely worn or damaged, usually these pumps only last 2-3 years, if it is older, it most likely is dying.

Also, be absolutely sure it is the right power supply. Tunze 5012.010, an undersized power supply can cause a problem as the controller will need a fair amount of the power and leave nothing for the pump, for example swapping in an 800mA power supply from another device by mistake.
