I have a two questions and could use some validation, help and/or some how to. I currently have the pump on pluse mode on 13G with the both main power dial (20%)and pluse dial on lowest setting with 5 seconds interval.

Part 1:
  • The pump is rated 53GPH - 1190GPH. How to get it to just run at 53G?
  • The lowest setting at 20% is actually closer to 230GPH. How can I get pump to run lower than 200? 150? 100?
Part 2:
  • I have Apex VDM and the Dual STream Cable connected to Apex Jr. How can I setup a program to run lower than 30% in pluse mode for example? When I tired, pump would not run unless value is at least 30%. I am off?
Appreciate the help.

20% is about as low as it can go from what I can tell. I don't use an Apex with mine but even with one you can't run them lower. I'm sure Roger will chime in with a more technical response.

Appreciate the input.

20% of what (1190 GPH?) is another question I have?

It seems 20% using the Tunze controller. I saw somewhere it suggested 30% on Apex. Again 30% of what? 30% is the minimum pump would work based on trial and error.

The 20% refers to the speed not the flow (Hz of the motor), the flow at only 20% is 53 gph. The Apex seems to use our older voltage control of 0-8V, the newer pumps made since 2015 that have the built in 7090 controller use a 0-6.5V control range, likely 30% on the Apex is 20% on the 7090.

@rvitko - thx for the clarification. Seems if I want lowest speed control will stick with tunze controller. Otherwise if use with Apex Jr, will have be 30% min..

My hunch is 30% on the Apex = 20% on the 7090. There is no real difference, the Apex is sending the same voltage signal but the controller interprets it differently.
