Why is Tunze no longer making this.

Are they in the process of building something even better?

Does any one Know?

Last I heard they were adding new software features to it last summer. I had one but it didn't work out to my application so I sold it. Maybe they are discontinuing this model and decided on a different design?

@rvitko ?

@rvitko ?

Did you feel limited in the fact that it does not control temp. I feel its a decent buy if you just want to control 4 pumps

From what I can see you can add pumps or lights to the 7000.
Can you do the same with an apex and the vdm module with the moonlighting or would apex handle the moonlighting on a simple timer which really makes no sense seeing that moonlighting only needs to occur a few times a week or month. Im not sure

It does control temperature, dual control both heating and chilling.

The 7000 is getting a major update, since every existing user will get the update at no charge, we decided to discontinue sales until the update is ready. It will be a new board, new software and able to run any 0-10V device, any brand and much easier remote access. We had hoped to have it ready for February but the new board playing nice with the software has been a hurdle that has involved board and software revisions to get everything stable. The hope now is September.

Does it use an add on adaptor to control heating. Would that plug into one of the four ports

Yes, each port can support one Tunze LED, one pump and one switched outlet or solenoid, the manual explains how the ports are configured, you just add the switched outlets.

The official answer is March, but that is mostly to avoid another delay, we finally have a point where hardware, software, notifications all work as they should and are stable. We are in Alpha testing but things are proceeding rapidly and new features are being added smoothly now that the basics work. We definitely hope to be ready much sooner, before years end. Price will not change, at least it will not increase.

Will it look the same. What additional features again did you say it have. Easier remote access what does that mean?
Does it control pump simular to a 7097. Does a 7097 hook up to a mac. does the 7000 hook up to a mac?

Thanks

I can't reveal too much at this time on new features. 7097 is windows only, 7000 is browser based so it will work on any platform.

Yes, but this will not be a fast process, it has to come in and have one of the boards replaced, there are I was told 23 solder points to unsolder and resolder.

I was at MACNA, I have not heard any updates but I have been wrapping up trade show season and have not had a chance to check in. I know we have a working Alpha test unit that is stable and working well.

It continues to make progress but at present it seems unlikely to be ready before summer.

No, it is much closer, but not ready yet, we essentially lost 2 months this year to covid and all new products are delayed, we are just trying to catch up with existing products right now.
