No; if your turbo snail lost its shell, it would die. This guy has his shell still - its probably a Stomatella snail of some variety. Is this one of my turbo snails without a shell?!??
How could it have got in my tank? No; if your turbo snail lost its shell, it would die. This guy has his shell still - its probably a Stomatella snail of some variety.
Then it probably hitchhiked in on something before that and has been hiding since - rock, coral, algae, etc.; pretty much anything wet could carry hitchhikers to our tanks. How could it have got in my tank?
I haven't added anything that I wouldn't notice it on in 3 months.
I’m not sure if a dip would knock them off or not, so both are possible.Maybe it was on a big piece of like rock that I got from my lfs back In June.
Unless they don't fall off of coral. If so I know exactly where he came from.
Lots and loads of hitchikers can appear years... honestly years after introduction of a new frag plug, I would not worry too much if this weird 'slug' creature is not causing harm, it will probably die in a week or twoHow could it have got in my tank?

As other have said, its a Stomatella snail. They hitchhike in as super tiny or even as small larva and nearly always and eventually appear in the the aquarium. Most dips wont effect eggs, so if they can arrive in that fashion as well. How could it have got in my tank?
