For over a month now, my Mexican turbo snail has been in this location. At first I thought, "Meh, he takes a couple days off here and there."

Then I decided it was dead. So I went to get it out and realized, he has a good hold of that half a bi-valve shell. I put him back. Since then he has continued to lay there, holding on to that shell. He eats the algae off of one side of the shell and flips it over and begins on the other side. He never has to move his body weight and is always protected with his shell shield.

By the time he has finished one side, the other has a bit of film algae.

Is he the world's smartest snail? The laziest? Both?

He's the worst mexican turbo snail ever. At least he never knocks over stuff.

And the problem is what?

If you want it to be cleaning somewhere else, take it off the bivalve and put it someplace you want cleaned.

I'm gonna let him live a life of leisure. CUC's are cheap., I just bought more snails so he could keep on keeping on. I thought folks here would think it was funny...

My mistake. You bumped a dead thread with zero replies, that doesn't ask for help in any way to make a snide comment? Excellence indeed.
