Hi, I'm new to these forums, and almost 2 years into the hobby. Currently have a 4feet tank and want to upgrade but I want to do a TV Console type of build, I've done a similar build before for freshwater but want to know what kind of issues I'll likely face if I go for such a build. I'm sharing some picture that I can get from google to give you an idea about the build. Please let me know if it's feasible for a reef aquarium or will I be facing a lot of issues with such a build.

The aquarium size will be 5x2x2 ft, the sump will be sitting on 1 side cabinet. sump size 2 feet cube. I wont be loading it with too much corals, as I prefer to see more open space inside the tank.

Few things that I will be doing is,
1. there will be a gap of around 8 inches from water level and the top lid, the top lid will have gap spaces to allow or heat exchange as I've to run fans during summer.
2. The side cabinets wont have any partition wall from the main tank, as I'll have 1 inlet and 1 outlet fan at each end of the cabinet/console.
3. The cabinet/console will have wheels underneath and completely separate from the aquarium steel stand so that I can just slide the cabinet in and slide out for maintenance

unlike the picture the side cabinets will be the same height as the main cabinet.

Thanks for the help.

I think you'd probably have some issues with salt creep depending on your flow etc.
you want some flow for gas exchange, if it's too turbulent I see salt creep on that cabinet, causing potential mold issues (depending on height) as well as the wheel hardware getting rusty quickly.
Saltwater tends to corrode things a bit quicker.
