Anyone else have it?

I was just diagnosed last week and I have to make major changes in my life.

I already cut out pop and caffeine and sugar 2 months ago when they said I might have it.

After reading about what foods to avoid, I'm thinking I will be eating grass LOL

Any advise? What are some good foods/snacks?

Thanks

I don't have type 2, but I do have type 1. I am sure a lot of the same eating habits apply......stay away from carbs such as white breads, pastas, etc. Those affect my sugar much more than any simple sugar like pop, candy, etc. I eat high protein snacks like peanuts. Had to cut out all the good stuff like chips :-(

if you are type two a ketogenic diet has been shown to greatly improve your blood sugar/a1c, even reversing it in some.
