I have had this frag for 6m. Under MH low flow high up below brace and covered with a net to diffuse the light.

Still hasn't grown much nor any blue or indigo spot. It's green with 3 orange mouths.

Any advice?

I have other hardy chalice doing good.

Agree get it in a lower light area of your tank it will be much happier and should color up nicely.. I had a chalice in the center of my tank that was never very happy until I moved it, in a few months it colored up nicely

Actually, can anyone tell if they experienced any chalice kind thriving in total shade like under a ledge? I wonder....

Yes I had a tiny frag I threw under my frag rack cause it was almost dead and in 2 months it was bigger than a baseball (it’s a solid frag rack with small holes so not much light gets thru)

the thing most people get wrong with chalice is spectrum chalice high-end chalice won't acclimate to what most reefers use. I can give high-end chalice 100+ plus par but it has to be coming mainly from deep blue even the cool blue is strong, and care should be used
really old thread btw
