Tyree Purple monster info

Now I'm inspired to post a pic of my Tyree PM. My Eddie's from ianwane in SF, CA, looks nothing like the Eddie's posted here. The Eddie's posted here look more like a echinata to me. Very nice coral regardless, one I'd be proud to have in my tank!

Here's mine; it is fairly purple. It is now taking on some of the green from the ATL intense purple efflo though.

Mine looks a little blue. Seems to be comparitively slow grower, but not the slowest in my tank. I like the build of the branches.

Here the growth I have had in the past few months. It's grows as slow as any other half inch frag. I don't think it's any less hardy either. Just have an established tank.

I saw that Thirsty's Reef has "large" encrusted purple monster frags for sale. They don't label them as large, but large in comparison to others I've seen.

I don’t think that’s the OG. I’m looking for white polyps and there is no green in a true purple monster. Look at post#17 by reefbum if you want to see what it’s supposed to look like.

Here are some shots of mine. I actually have two colonies. The bigger one I grew from a decent sized frag. It took a while to color up in my tank. In fact, when I frag it the frags lose color and then slowly gain it back. It is a very sensitive coral.
