That does look a bit, off.

My phoenix and athena both recently bit the bullet (my own fault). Can't find a photo on my phone but the phoenix def had some good color upon arrival, just polyps never really extended at all.

I had GREAT experience with UC in the past, plenty of times. Maybe the signature stuff just isn't being given optimal time to heal before shipment.

I have a UC Furnace that I got at the same time that looks great!

I reached out to @uniquecorals. They claim it is the correct frag and to give it time to acclimate. I'm skeptical, but I'll wait and see. I'll report back on how things progress.

They sent this picture of the mother colony. I still don't think my frag looks similar.

Updated 03/09/19. This coral may not look that great under daylights but under my UV High octane led strip this thing really is a flaming phoenix. you can see some yellow/orange in it, if I can figure out how to capture a picture I will post it. I may do it with my Blue led strip and a Truvu, haven't tested that yet.

This coral has actually really grown on me, Look a little dull in pictures and daylights, but under some UV and blues it really is a flaming Phoenix, glows a nice orange! Not much growth on this one lately..
Update 4/9/19

Not impressed thus far. Mine are a little bleached due to some added light bars. Still looks nothing like the photos.
