Whenever you go to any fish store, the snail tanks don't have any algae. Cause they eat it. Good thing to keep in the back of your mind. A good varied cleanup crew will do more than almost anything

Thanks for the tip, good info and I did notice that at my local fish shop,

If you start seeing hair algae pithos crabs are outstanding at mowing it down. They make a great addition to snails. When the algae is gone they’ll eat nori.

My hermits were not very effective at algae control and were more interested in killing snails and each other. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the advice, I will try and add to the cleanup crew and see how much of an impact they make on it first, but may revisit if it's not improving

Margarita snail is a eating machine. I'm in the ugly phase. This snail cleaned an entire rock in 1 day.
